The Unforgotten -C
Seeing you again
was like remembering myself:
Who I was
when I lived near you
and we were friends
So easy for friends,long distanced,
to forget who they were to each other...
Remembering who they were
through another person's eyes
helps to polish the prism:
The kite has run away with the string,
The wind is still in the air
The memories merely mark the way
where we forgot our footprints,
and the pieces we now gather
were sent to earth
a long time ago-
before the story was told-
to now be remembered
and acknowledged as part
of the great dream
where we lay shining
one to the other
and dash ourselves into the air
and upon our mutual mind,
until we are fully heard
and forgotten no more!..
